Features of our Products

The durable and low-maintenance Findoor folding door is a great choice for various applications including barns, fire stations, airports, industrial buildings and service stations. Its surface is coated with steel sheeting and it features a water-resistant insulation. The lifting stainless steel hinges keep the bottom seal in good condition and make opening the door effortless. The EPDM-rubber seals withstand even extreme northern conditions. If needed, the folding door can also be equipped with an access door and EI30 fire classification.

Steel clad folding door specifications

Maximum size: 14800×7000 (6-, 7- or 8-paneled door)
Maximum height for narrower doors: 8000 (Higher ones will be special projects)

  • Structure: Thermally insulated, sandwich-structured folding doors
  • Cladding: Heat galvanized sheet steel. Minimum thickness 0,5mm
  • Insulation thickness: 50 mm or 60 mm
  • Colour: From RR colour chart (in special cases, from the RAL colour chart)
  • Water resistance classification: 3 EN 12489 and EN12425
  • Wind pressure classification: 4 (up to a height of 4 meters) EN 12444 and EN 12424
  • Air permeability classification: 4 (determined by door size) EN 12427 and EN 12426
  • Sealing: The door panels have 8-fold male-female sealing between all adjacent panels, and the door bottom has a double doors-sweep. The seals are made of EPDM rubber, which can withstand harsh conditions.
  • Hinges: Elevating steel hinges with ball bearings
  • Windows: Double panel selective thermal glass, windows with a height of less than 700 mm are made of tempered glass
  • Doors mounted to structure with mounting devices that are corrosion-proof to classification C4
  • Opening mechanisms:
    • Manually operated: The door has a handle on its inside surface that allows its opening or closing
    • Opening machinery: Door mounted operator or chain operator
  • Additional specification: Fire resistance classification of EI30
    • Maximum size 5m x 5m
    • Windows are not available on the doors with fire resistance classifications
    • The access door is not available with fire resistance classifications
    • The appearance is the same as a normal folding door
    • The fire resistant doors are heavier, therefore the mounting surface on the header face must always be at least 250mm
    • The available opening machinery consists of a regulations consistent chain operator

Fully glazed folding door specifications

Maximum size: 7500×6000

  • Structure: Fully glazed folding doors with steel reinforcements
  • Thickness: Frame thickness 50 mm or 60 mm
  • Sealing: The door panels have 8-fold male-female sealing between all adjacent panels, and the door bottom has a double doors-sweep. The seals are made of EPDM-rubber, which can withstand harsh conditions.
  • Hinges: Elevating steel hinges with ball bearings
  • Windows: Double panel selective thermal glass, also available with tempered or laminated glass. Windows with a height of less than 700 mm are made of tempered glass
  • Opening mechanisms:
    • Manually operated: The door has a handle on its inside surface that allows its opening or closing
    • Opening machinery: Door mounted operator or chain operator

Door mounted operator

Suitable for 2-, 3-, 4- and 8-panel doors. Operator is attached to the door panel, so it doesn’t take up space above the door. Excellent solution for smaller and medium-sized doors, for example in industrial buildings, smaller fire stations and barns.

  • Motor: 24V motor operates with single phase electric current
  • Safety equipment:
    • An electric eye system in line with the door prevents the closing of the door if there is some physical object between the detectors.
    • The door opening machinery includes a motor overload activated shut-off switch, which overload would be caused, for example, by a physical object preventing the opening or closing of the door. This prevents a breakdown of the machinery itself.
    • Folding doors that include a built-in entry door have a disconnecting switch that prevents the opening of the folding door when the entry door through it is open.
    • Three push-button switches, Open-Stop-Close, beside the door opening.
    • The door is also operable manually during power outages.
  • Control devices for the door opening machinery:
    • Push-button switch box (Open – Stop – Close)
    • Remote control switch
    • The door opening machinery can be hooked up to the building’s physical access system
  • Additional available features:
    • Canceling electric eyes (the door automatically closes once a vehicle has crossed the beam of light to the electric eye)
    • Radar utilizing door opening systems
    • Control through VIRVE signals
    • Magnetic loop door opener (installed in customer prepared conduit grooves)

Chain operator

For 4-, 6- and 8-panel doors. Suitable for big doors, as well as places where doors are opened frequently, such as, for example, at fire stations, carwashes and factories.

  • A separate rail for mounting the door opening machinery will be mounted above the door. The machinery will then be installed upon this rail.
  • This machinery will be operated with normal grid electric current (3-phase current)
  • Safety equipment:
    • An electric eye system in line with the door prevents the closing of the door if there is some physical object between the detectors.
    • The door edges that close against the building structure contain sensors.
    • Folding doors that include an entry door have a disconnecting switch which prevents the opening of the folding door when the entry door through it is open.
    • Three push-button switch box, Open-Stop-Close, beside the door opening.
    • The door is also operable manually during power outages.
  • Control devices for the door opening machinery:
    • Push-button switches (Open – Stop – Close) in switch box.

Entry and double door specifications

The opening for an entry door has a maximum width of 1395 mm.
The opening for the double door has a maximum width of 2655 mm. If a wider opening is needed, then a folding door will be installed.

  • Door cladding is of heat galvanized sheet steel, painted by heat cured powder coating
  • The door core is of insulating material that will not absorb water
  • The door is pre-hung inside a frame made of aluminum or galvanized steel
  • The door assembly includes either a steel threshold or a double door-sweep on the bottom of the door
